Antler, Samsonite, American Tourister, Revelation suitcases

The summer holiday season now appears to be in full swing with the schools soon breaking up.

The UK weather doesn't seem that bad if you're planning to stay at home - we may even be pleasantly surprised!

Reports on line suggest that the world cup for all sorts of reasons has prompted an upsurge in holidays being taken abroad.

If you're travelling to the Eurozone you'll be happy to hear that the strong pound should mean that you get around 6% more Euros for your £ than this time last year!  There's even better news if you're going to the States with around 10% more $ for your £!

If you're planning to use your plastic abroad, it's a very good idea to check the charges that your bank may be making for transactions not in sterling - this could help you to alter your payment plans and avoid unpleasant surprises on your return.

With the French Air Traffic controllers strike now seemingly resolved there appear not to be too many black clouds on the traveller's horizon!

The 1st July marks the first opportunity for the public to vote in the annual British Travel Awards for 2014.  Not only does this survey give you the opportunity to make your opinions known, you also have the chance to enter the free prize draw just for taking part.

If you're off on your travels soon, don't forget to check your luggage before you pack and visit Luggage UK to buy the latest lightweight suitcases.
