We've all probably heard about road rage, How many of us have heard about luggage rage?
Apparently some of us are showing our lack of consideration for others when we're travelling, resulting in our fellow passengers becoming upset or even injured at the airport!
How can luggage rage manifest itself?
Lack of spatial awareness can be a major factor - suddenly stopping in a busy airport without being aware of who is behind us or how close they are. The person following is forced to take avoiding action, and hope that their reactions are fast enough to avoid collision. If they're pushing rather than pulling their luggage along this can make injury a real possibility, or at least finding that their suitcase wheels run over your toes!
If you're travelling with your backpack, don't forget how far it sticks out when it's on your back! You can end up hitting other passengers or children or end up knocking stock from display in the Shops!
When travelling with the family don't forget to ensure that your children are always close by and behaving themselves - what seems like youthful high spirits to you, may seem like kids out of control to someone else.
A good way of trying to avoid luggage rage is to remember to treat others in the same way as you'd like to be treated yourself. Unless you really are late, pushing in front of others in the queue or being ruse to others is really not justified.
Apart from the effect on other passengers of our actions, we often fail to recognise the stress and tension that these situations can generate in ourselves. After all, in many cases we're flying on holiday to enjoy ourselves - lets do our best to make travelling a happy and calm part of our holiday experience!
