The UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) has just updated its travel advice for British Nationals in the wake of the heightened terrorism threat from groups involved in the conflicts in Iraq and Syria.
The Government is adding the following advice to all its web pages giving travel advice:
" There is considered to be a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time."
In essence the Government appears to be recognising a global threat to British Citizens wherever they are travelling abroad.
