We always seem to be in a rush these days. Never enough time.
Many of us make the most of every last minute of our holidays by flying back the night before we return to work.
We arrive back probably tired after the flight, particularly if it returns to the UK in the middle of the night.
We rush to luggage reclaim with our minds already on the journey home from the airport.
But wait a minute!
It is well worth the time (probably 2 minutes) to thoroughly check your checked in luggage for any damage suffered in transit.
The guarantee on your suitcase or bag covers you for manufacturing defects in the product, but DOES NOT COVER accidental damage or damage occurring when you've entrusted your bags to the airline.
If you are unfortunate enough to find your case has been damaged, don't put things off - if you can take a picture and then head to the airline's desk to make them aware - you'll find that they have procedures in place to help you. Claiming after you return home is likely to prove problematic and possibly expensive should they reject your claim.
