50% increase in overhead storage in Boeing 737s

At the Aircraft Interiors Expo held in Hamburg last week, Boeing showcased new roomier overhead bins that will be used on its new generation 737s and retro-fitted on some models already in service.

The new bins will hold 6 standard size bags, 50% more than the bins on current model 737s.

The bins have a lower lip height giving increased visibility into the bin and making loading and unloading that much easier.
