The UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) has revised its travel advice for British Citizens travelling to Greece in the light of the impending financial crisis in that country.
While the Greek Government has not yet imposed limits on cash withdrawals from ATMs using foreign cards, there is a real danger that the machines will have run out of cash to dispense.
As a result the FCO now advises that you should take enough Euros with you in cash for the duration of your stay with extra to cover unforeseen delays and emergencies.
