When will everyone finally get the message?
Every week the US TSA authorities that are responsible for the security of America's transport system report multiple discoveries of real and imitation firearms, grenades, knives and other prohibited items in passengers' luggage.
We're all obviously grateful that the TSA does its job so well in finding these weapons, but it is very concerning that there are some people who believe that they can flout the regulations by attempting to carry them. Aside from the obvious terrorist threat, their discovery will inevitably result in a security alert inconveniencing other passengers as well as the likely detention of those responsible. Imitation weapons are as much of a problem as the live ones as understandably the TSA officers must treat all potential threats in the same way.
This last week 48 firearms, 27 stun guns, inert grenades and various concealed blades were discovered across the USA - not an unusual haul.
