London Heathrow Airport records record passenger numbers last month

London Heathrow Airport has released its traffic figures for last July.

Passenger numbers increased by 4.7% compared to July 2014 to reach a record 7.29 million.  A large part of this growth is attributed to airlines using larger aircraft on existing routes, supplemented by more passengers travelling to emerging markets.

Cargo volumes over the last 12 months grew by 3.2% but compared to July 2014 were down 5.4% this July.
