It's now a year since EasyJet introduced their lower guaranteed carry on luggage limits, and most manufacturers have now produced models that meet the requirements.
The advantages of not checking in your baggage are overwhelming provided that you're only on a short trip. While EasyJet say that they may allow on board the larger IATA size bags, it is entirely at their discretion, and not taking the smaller size case may result in your bag having to be checked in incurring the associated cost.
