Faulty Luggage and Suitcases
When you buy your new Soft Side Luggage or Hard Side Suitcase you'll be reassured that it comes with the benefit of the manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects.
This means that should a fault develop that results from a defect in the manufacturing process that you bag or suitcase will be repaired or replaced during the guarantee period.
it is important though to understand that the warranty does not cover damage caused to your case or bag by the baggage handlers, other third parties, nor if you use the item in a way in which it is not intended.
If the airline, baggage handlers or others damage your suitcase when it is in their custody you have the right to claim against them for the cost of repairing or replacing the item. To avoid later arguments it is essential that you always inspect your case when it is returned to you, and if you find any problem let the airline or others involved know straight away. Unfortunately as damage is an all too frequent occurrence, you'll find the airlines have procedures in place to quickly deal with your claim provided you let them know straight away.
