Air travel disruption over Iceland
According to reports on the BBC News website, the Icelandic Meteorological Office has raised its warning level again to red near the Bardarbunga volcano.
A 1km long fissure eruption has started in the lava field north of the Vatnajokull glacier. Further tests are due to be carried out today to ascertain if any ash is yet present in the atmosphere.

Lets hope that the activity soon dies down again and that there is no repeat of the disruption to air travel we saw several years ago.
