easyJet planes to get a new paint job

Buy Easyjet luggage with fast UK delivery

easyJet, now the UK's largest airline has just unveiled the new livery for its aircraft to mark its 20th year of flying, and its first change since the call centre phone number was dropped in 1998.

You'll be able to see the new pain scheme on new aircraft added to the fleet from April this year, and on older planes when they scheduled to be repainted normally after 6 years.

A specialist team is needed to repaint an aircraft, and each one takes typically 7 days to complete.

Record 2014 results from Boeing

Lightweight Revelation by Antler suitcases

America's leading aircraft manufacturer Boeing has reported record results for 2014 with a 5% increase in revenues to $90.7bn, and a 24% increase in earnings per share to $7.38.

The performance was lead by its commercial aircraft division that achieved a 12% increase in aircraft deliveries for 2014 to reach a total for the year of 723.

The strong results on the commercial side were offset by a 7% reduction in revenues, and a 3% reduction in earnings compared to 2013 by its Defence, Space & Security division that operated under a much more challenging environment.

Boeing announce strong third quarter results

Antler and Samsonite cabin suitcases | Fast UK delivery

Boeing has reported strong 3rd quarter results having delivered 186 commercial aircraft in the last three months, a 9% increase on its corresponding 2013 performance.

The company's strong performance is underlined in its reporting that it has an order book for 5,500 aircraft worth a record $430 billion.

When you see the bustle and queues at almost any airport today, it is easy to understand how the aircraft manufacturers are doing so well with our almost insatiable thirst for air travel.

This may not though be all bad for the environment. Developments in fuel efficient designs for both planes and engines will hopefully ensure that we all do not suffer long term harm as a result.
