Heathrow & Gatwick Airports show growth last month

London Gatwick Airport has reported that last month its pattern of consecutive monthly growth continues with 3.8 million passengers passing through its terminals - a whopping 5% increase over its June 2014 performance.

The growth was spearheaded by long-haul routes which grew by 8% in June 2015 compared to the previous year.

London Heathrow Airport recorded more modest growth last month with 6.68 million passengers using the terminals, an increase of 1.1% over June 2014.

Heathrow did record a significant increase of 4.3% in cargo volumes over the last year.

EasyJet reports June 2015 passenger numbers

Low cost airline easyJet has announce its passenger statistics for June 2015.

Passenger numbers for the month reached over 6.5 million, a 7.6% increase over June 2014. 

The company's load factor showed a more modest increase of 0.7% to 92.7%.

Ryanair shows substantial growth last month

Ryanair "Europe's favourite airline" has reported that its passenger numbers last month increased by 14% over its June 2014 performance.

This major growth was accompanied by an increase in its load factor from 88% to 93%

Industrial Action by Spanish Air Traffic Controllers

According to news reports today, Spanish Air Traffic Controllers are set to strike early next month on 8th, 10th, 12th & 14th of June for 2 hours each morning and 2 hours each afternoon - undoubtedly chaos for air passengers in much of Europe will result.
