A report published by the Civil Aviation Authority has shown that London Gatwick Airport has the lowest percentage of flights on time of the 10 airports that it examined at 74%. Top of the list was London City with a punctuality rate of 88% for 2014.
Heathrow, Manchester & Newcastle airports saw an improvement in their on-time performance during 2014.
During last year the average passenger delay across all scheduled flights was 12 minutes - the same as in 2013.

Flybe, Europe's largest regional airline, has stared its 2014/15 winter flights schedule that include an astonishing 22 new routes.
With a total of up to 2,787 flights per week, Flybe's latest destinations include flights from London City Airport to and from Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Belfast City, Dublin, Edinburgh, Exeter & Inverness. It has also started an innovative Flybe Shuttle service between Jersey and Aberdeen that also class at Southampton and Leeds Bradford airports en route.
Other new routes include Aberdeen to Leeds Bradford; Birmingham to Oslo, Berlin Tegal;
Dublin to Inverness; Manchester to Amsterdam; and the restarting of the service between Exeter and Newcastle.
Flybe now serves 17 countries from 84 departure points.
