Ryanair plane subject to a security alert in Poland

According to reports on Sky News, a Ryanair aircraft was the subject of a suspected bomb hoax this morning.

The Ryanair plane that had not yet boarded was due to take off from Modin airport near Warsaw on a flight to Oslo.

Modin airport received an anonymous telephone call claiming that there was an explosive device on the flight. The plane was inspected and the airport partially closed. Subsequently the call was traced and a man arrested by police.

Don't Joke about a Bomb in your Luggage

Don't joke about security when you're flying (or any other time for that matter!)

Apart from the obvious distress and concern that it may cause officials and other passengers it could also end up hitting you in your pocket.

A foolish joke cost a Venezuelan doctor nearly $90,000 when travelling through Miami airport.

Joking that he had a bomb in his luggage, officials responded by closing down 2 concourses resulting in delays and inconvenience to passengers and airlines.

Most of the fine will be paid to airlines affected during the incident.
