What's the largest Carry On Bag that you take take in the Cabin with you?

As you may be aware these days there is not a 'one size fits all' as far as Carry On Cabin Luggage is concerned.

While the IATA maximum has remained unchanged at 56x45x25cm for a while, many airlines, particularly the Budget Carriers have adopted smaller maximum sizes for the bag that you're allowed to take on board with you.

easyJet for the majority of 2015 had elected to use a size smaller than IATA, but for the last few months they have re-adopted the 46x45x25cm maximum size for their Cabin Bags. However in increasing the maximum size easyJet no longer guarantee that your Carry On Bag will travel with you in the cabin if the flight is particularly busy.

By contrast Low Cost Airline Ryanair works with a maximum size for Cabin Luggage of
55x40x20cm, much smaller than easyJet and many scheduled carriers such as British Airways.

However please beware that some airlines operate lower limits and you may find that you have to check in your case if it's oversize.  Even if you Bag is within the maximum dimensions you may be asked to check your bag into the hold if your flight is very busy and space in the overhead lockers is limited.

When setting maximum dimensions, airlines do not do so by referring to the sizes of suitcase in the marketplace. July was another good month for the budget Airlines Ryanair & easyJet.

Ryanair carries over 10 million passengers last month

easyJet say growth of 9.4% in July 2015

The results show that we are certainly not tired of the low-cost flight model, with both airlines anticipating good growth in the future.

Ryanir posts a massive 25% increase in Q1 profits

'Europe's favourite airline' Ryanair has reported a Q1 2015 25% increase in pre-tax profits resulting from 1 16% increase in passenger numbers over the period.

Cost reductions also helped improve the bottom line, as well as the airlines's emphasis on improving its customer experience.

Ryanair agrees to sell stake in Aer Lingus

The directors of 'Europe's favourite airline' ‪#‎Ryanair‬, have voted at a board meeting to accept the offer from ‪#‎BritishAirways‬ owner IAG group to buy Ryanair's 29.8% holding in Irish airline Aer Lingus.

This now paves the way, subject to any competition considerations, for IAG to take full control of ‪#‎AerLingus‬

Ryanair "Europe's favourite airline" has reported that its passenger numbers last month increased by 14% over its June 2014 performance.

Ryanair seeks help to avoid French Air Traffic Controllers strike

Ryanair, 'Europe's favourite airline' has called on the French Government to prevent the otherwise serious disruption likely to be caused by French Air Traffic Controllers striking from 30th June to 3rd July this week.

Whether the airline's call is answered remains to be seen, but the probability is that many thousands of passengers will have their travel plans disrupted.

Ryanair seeks to avoid French ATC strike action this week

Ryanair plane subject to a security alert in Poland

According to reports on Sky News, a Ryanair aircraft was the subject of a suspected bomb hoax this morning.

The Ryanair plane that had not yet boarded was due to take off from Modin airport near Warsaw on a flight to Oslo.

Modin airport received an anonymous telephone call claiming that there was an explosive device on the flight. The plane was inspected and the airport partially closed. Subsequently the call was traced and a man arrested by police.

Ryanair remains the world's favourite airline

To celebrate the fact that it has been once again confirmed by IATA as being the World's favourite airline, Ryanair has made available 100,000 seats across its European network from only 19.99 Euros.  These seats are available for travel in July and August this year, and must be booked at Ryanair.com before midnight on Thursday 25th June.

During 2014 the airline carried over 86 million international passengers, 30 million more than second place carrier easyJet. Lufthansa was the first of the scheduled carriers coming in at 3rd place in the survey.

Leading European Airlines meet to agree a new strategy

The Chief Executives of Europe's five largest airline groups have met in Brussels in response to the new EU Transport Commissioner's consultation on a new EU aviation strategy.

CEO's from Airfrance/KLM, easyJet, International Aviation Group (BA and others), Ryanair & Lufthansa agreed today to work together to develop a strategy to support growth and jobs across Europe, strengthen the aviation sector and give Europe's passengers more choice and lower fares.

'Europe's favourite airline' Ryanair has reported that last month 92% of its 55,000 flights arrived on time.

Passenger complaints were less than 0.1%, and luggage complaints less than 0.05%.

Only cabin luggage with Ryanair to Madrid

Passengers flying to Madrid airport with Ryanair are facing the inconvenience of only being able to take cabin luggage.

Due to an ongoing dispute between the airline and the baggage handlers, checked in baggage will not be handled on Ryanair flights.

For passengers needing to travel with checked in luggage, the airline is offering flights to an alternative airport, or an alternative departure date after the dispute is resolved.

Ryanair's amazing increase in profits last year!

'Europe's favourite airline' Ryanair has reported tremendous full year profits to 31 March 2015.

Proving that treating your customers better produces good returns, the 'Always Getting Better' program is credited with driving the increase.

Passenger numbers increased by 11% to 90.6m over the previous year, and improved load factors resulted in profits after tax leaping 66% to 867m Euros.

Ryanair reports 16% growth in passenger numbers last month

Ryanair 'Europe's favourite airline' has announced its traffic figures for April 2015.

The airline's 'always getting better' customer experience program appears to be paying dividends with passenger numbers for the month rising to 9.0 million from 7.8 million in April 2014 - an increase of 16%

The load factor also made a massive improvement, rising by 7% to 91%.

Ryanair updates its charges for carrying sports equipment

'Europe's favourite airline' Ryanair has announced changes to the charges it makes when you carry sports equipment on its flights.

It had previously levied a flat 50 Euro charge each way regardless of the size of the item - it has now introduced lower charges of 30 Euros for small items and golf bags, 40 Euros for skis, and 60 Euros each way for large items such as kayaks and bikes.

92% of Ryanair flights arrive on time last month

Europe's favourite airline, Ryanair has just published its customer service statistics for March 2015.

Results are generally on a par with March 2014 with 92% of flights arriving on time, and 99% of customer complaints answered within 7 days.

However complaints per 1000 passengers increased by 17% to 0.47, and bag complaints per 1000 passengers by 38% to 0.50.
