Ryanir posts a massive 25% increase in Q1 profits

'Europe's favourite airline' Ryanair has reported a Q1 2015 25% increase in pre-tax profits resulting from 1 16% increase in passenger numbers over the period.

Cost reductions also helped improve the bottom line, as well as the airlines's emphasis on improving its customer experience.

Impressive performance from Ryanair last month

Ryanair, Europe's favourite airline, has just published passenger statistics for March 2015.

The airline has shown a  massive 28% increase in passenger numbers to 6.67 million for the month over March 2014, and an impressive 10% increase in its load factor to 90%.

Rolling annual passenger numbers for the year ended 31 March 2015 showed an 11% increase to 90.5 million.

Easyjet publishes its February passenger statistics

Low cost carrier easyJet has published its passenger statistics for February.

The carrier has recorded an impressive 6.1% increase in passengers carried for the month over February 2014 to give a total for the month of 4,491,425.

This increase is also reflected in rolling 12 month statistics.  The 12 months to end February 2015 saw a 6.5% increase in passenger numbers to a total of 65,608,551.
